Silly me, how could I miss the motion sensor

True, Xbox is a delicate and sophisticated hardware; but the heating problem makes things unecessary worse. And for the sensor, it’s a bit too sensitive for a home daily-use appliance. It’s not like something people don’t move. Besides loading discs, it’s touched for cleaning or even placed aside and so on…

In fact, I don’t think laptops are as delicate as the 360 because – supposed you buy a laptop with designed-for-mobile parts – the laptop is build for daily use and be taken around while in use (at least most of it; I don’t want to carry around a cinema-screen laptop though).

A better design could have been made in many aspects but now we have to live with it and try to do our own fixes from cooling systems to non-invasive maintenance (shaking around), or trying some Voodoo (where’s Voodoo Vince when I need him?).
