Re: Account Management – Change Language

One of my posts at "香港 (Hong Kong) 地區 Xbox 討論區" dated "04-09-2006, 10:54PM":
Belgium is a particulary tricky problem because they also cover Luxembourg (not officially listed, but included in the Live program).
However, the only supported (by Live) languages are French and Dutch (guess because French is a popular Live language (many countries) and Dutch also shares with the Netherlands). Lots of people won’t understand Dutch and there are also lots who don’t come by with French. How nice it would be if one could choose other languages, because
– German is also a Live language
– English is a good option
– both countries have plenty of immigrants from other Live-language countries
I don’t want to shoot with cannons at birds but in my opinion this current language setup with Live is far from anything user-friendly and equal opportunity. Why should I have to learn a certain language only to play Live, because I registered in the country of credit card issue and by coincident that didn’t match my own language skills?
This language setting is not only a problem to all those who don’t speak the local language despite being residents, but also to those who work in a foreign country and use that credit card. They are messed up despite being innocent.
